18 Wool Blending, Mechanical
WOOL BLENDING, MECHANICALA tubular rotary spreading device located over the mixing stacks of wool blends. It spreads in rotation the wool and other components of a blend uniformly over the whole floor area of the bin constituting a mixing. It eliminates manual spreading. The spreader is linked up with tubes through which material is pneumatically conveyed from the opening machines to the mixing stack. The device is a great labour saver and the blending of the components is more uniform than by hand spreading.Dictionary of the English textile terms > Wool Blending, Mechanical
